Youssef Benhamou is an interior architect and creative director based in Casablanca, founder of Benhamou Studio.
His work is rooted in a pursuit of balance between rigor and emotion, where space becomes a sensory experience. Each project is conceived as a composition, where light, materials, and proportions engage in a precise dialogue to create atmospheres that are at once intimate and assertive.
Far from any decorative approach, he develops a contemporary, exacting, and coherent architectural language, where every element finds its place with clarity. Contrasts are mastered, textures converse, and design choices assert themselves with precision — giving rise to spaces that are silent, yet inhabited.
Through residential, hospitality, and commercial projects, Benhamou Studio builds a language that transcends geographical references to embrace a universal vision of design, grounded in materiality.
Recognized for the singularity of his approach, Youssef Benhamou has been distinguished by AD Middle East among the designers to watch, and awarded at the Moroccan Interior Design Awards in the hospitality category for his Guesthouse Marrakech project. He also features among the African designers to follow on the continent, and his work has been published in the international press, notably in Marie Claire Maison Arabia, as well as on curatorial platforms and design galleries such as Philia, Scene Home, and We Collector.
In parallel, he develops mindmade., a collection of objects and furniture conceived as a natural extension of his work, at the intersection of architecture and sculpture.
